Research Skills Guide: Reference Styles

Preferred Referencing Styles

The preferred referencing styles for WACHS publications are set out in the WACHS Editorial Style Guide [Intranet only link]

  • The Vancouver style is recommended for use with documents based on scientific and medical information
  • An author-date style, such as Chicago B Style, is recommended for use with non-scientific documents

Also refer to both the WACHS Style Guide for Corporate Visual Identity [Intranet only link] and the WA Health Style Guide for Corporate Visual Identity [Intranet only link]

Chicago B Style (Author-Date)
